Who Should Take This Course?
Within the past 30 years, a series of Bioherm Sponge Reefs were discovered in Howe Sound by local diver, explorer and conservationist Glen Dennison. Some of the these reefs are shallow enough to be accessed by experienced scuba divers.
If you dream of being able to see these stunning reefs, this is the course you need to take.
What will you learn?
Your training starts by reviewing sponge biology, why the bioherms are important and skills required to dive the sensitive reefs. Throughout four training dives you'll practice skills needs to dive on and around these fragile creatures. Throughout the course you'll learn;

What Gear Will I use?
Bioherms dives are deep dives, so you can use whatever standard gear configuration you would usually use for a deep dive. In addition to this you will also need a DSMB and spool
Prerequisites

Be 15 years of age or older

Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization

Certified as a PADI Deep Diver or show proof of at least 10 dives below 100 ft / 30 m
-
Have a minimum of 30 logged dives, of which 10 were made deeper than 60 ft / 18 m
